The saddle decorated in gold and silver takamaki-e, gold foil, kinji and nashiji with Tokugawa mon [wild ginger crests] the front and back against a rhomboid-patterned ground, the stirrups similarly decorated with rhomboids, nashiji interiors, the saddle cushion and stirrup leathers lacquered in gold and black with paulownia, with iron horse bit Saddle 39 cm. long, stirrups 26 cm. long
